Cookie support for HTTP authentication has been added in VLC 0.9. We'll release in a few days so give it a try then and tell us if it worked.

Cheers,

Hi,

How will this cookie support work? Is it possible to add a cookie to a player embedded in a WEB page?
Where can I find some documentation regarding cookies for VLC?

did you guys solve this issue? I am also facing same issue. I think the vlc browser plugin does not send the cookies over to the streaming site and the site I am accessing is using that to authenticate.

How do I get the vlc browser plugin to send the cookies file over?

Are there any progress on this issue? Or at least anyone who could give us some feedback? Thanks!
