Multicast stream relay broken in 0.9.0?

Postby Depili » 10 Aug 2008 19:35

I have a problem running a multicast stream relay for ip-tv with my router. Using 0.8.6h the relay works fine, but 0.9.0. just plays multicast streams locally no matter what I enter in streaming options. The 0.9.0 version is required to relay a finnish hdtv stream of the olympics.

With 0.9.0 I can stream local files into my lan just fine, but no matter what I can't get it to relay the multicast streams. The options used are:

Code: Select all

vlc http://example.com/tv.m3u ":sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=192.168.0.10:1234}}"
on debian stream relay and watching with windows 0.9.0 nightly build. Example of the playlist tv.m3u is:

Code: Select all

#EXTINF:0,Yle Peking HD udp://@ylehd1.iptv.example.com:1234

AFAIK, you cannot stream a playlist file.
