I just went through a nightmare trying to get dvd's to play on my girlfriends windows pc, using Microsoft's media player and Real Player. Both complained that I did not have the required software to play dvd's and that I should have to pay for 3rd party software.

Having got frustrated because I had never had to do this on any other Windows based pc I have used in the past, I went to look elsewhere for suitable software. There are a myraid of such applications out there, that look like they have been written by the usual spotty kid with a vbasic development ide. My girlfriend had previously loaded a couple of them on her old pc and they all very flaky, with scratchy looking interfaces. One of them would only do certain features if you purchased the upgrade. Of course all of them had loaded some form of spyware on her pc.

So when I went to look for a suitable application to load on her new pc, I stumbled on your application. WOW. I'll say that again, WOW.

Loading it on to her pc was very easy and it worked instantly with no further messing about. Though I feel I must tell you off, because you broke the very strict rules of Microsoft that require all software to insist on a reboot of the pc after installation

The next day, after sorting out her networking in openSuse, I then loaded your application in to suse, using your one click installation mechanism. Again, the application installed instantly and worked seamlessly.

Guys, thanks a lot for making my girlfriend happy and for providing an excellent application :D

OSS FTW

That's a great story. :P Remember that you can download skins for this player, found somewhere in the main page, can't link right now because I'm using Wii.
