I challenge anyone to open the file:

http://rapidshare.com/files/120967430/O ... 01.ts.html

with any version of vlc

windows media player
mplayer
etc etc etc

All those are able to play the file, except vlc.
vlc only plays the sound with no video.
This is driving me crazy, because I want to use the excellent vlc!!

Expect some help.

Hi,

I can see 'HD' in the file name. If it is an High Definition video file, be aware than VLC only use CPU (no Graphical processing Unit) to decode VLC (atm).

Even having a quad-core is of no help if the decoding process is not able to split work on several cores, and I am not sure this one is multi-core capable. So maybe you need a really huge process power on one CPU core to get something.

NB: I have not looked at your file, to large for my bandwidth.

regards,
Anthony

My pc is single core.

I play the file with wmp with some freezes but it plays.

vlc only decodes the audio. It correctly reports the video as h.264 (HD) but doesn't play it. ZERO FRAMES DECODED.

I'm waiting for the vlc developers to download the file and see the error messages by themselves.

Thanks
Best regards

VLC nightly builds play this file, but with the following problem:

Video plays for 0.5 sec, then pauses in still-frame for 7 seconds, the plays for 0.5sec again, followed by another pause... repeat.

Audio plays uninterrupted all the way through.
