X264 Navigation problem

Hi folks,

Just watching a video in X264 format in VLC 0.8.6b and the navigation slider does not work. You can drag it and when you drop it at the spot you want to play the numbers keep going but the screen is black. Any ideas how to fix this? P.S. I've tested this on XP SP3 and on Ubuntu 8.04!

I've been having this same problem, I'm using vlc-0.8.6.
My VLC was working properly for a while then suddenly it started doing this to any .h264 files.

the odd thing is the slider works up to the current amount of time my laptop has been on, so if I've had my laptop on for 15 minutes the slider will work properly up to 15 minutes but any time after 15 minutes i get the black screen.
I would seriously appreciate any help.
