How does data of mp4 file affect network bandwidth use?

Postby caalip » 10 Jul 2008 00:11

Hi all,

I am a little bit confused as to how the size and resolution of an mp4 file will affect the bandwidth usage. I guess clearly the larger the file, the higher the bandwidth usage. However, I am confused about how the transport stream works. For small file resolution, does it send same number of packets with less data in each packet, or does it send less packets with the same enough of data in each? Also, is the transport stream variable? I know this might kind of be asking a lot. If you have a reference or link, that would be great.

Thanks,
Grae

PS: Sorry, for such a hard question if it is hard.
