How to save the order of videos in playlist?

I have arranged the videos in playlist in a particular order and saved it. But when I open the playlist again, the videos are rearranged, with the video whose name is last in alphabetical order being arranged at the beginning, and then the rest in alphabetical order. I really find this very annoying. Please... if you know how to save videos in playlist in order, reply this thread! By the way, the "Play files randomly forever" box in Preferences > Playlist is unchecked. So please help me. Thanks in advance!

I noticed the same thing whenever I sorted my playlist and tried to save it out. Apparently it doesn't acknowledge a sorting operation as a change that needs to be saved. I'm a novice using VLC, so I hacked my way around this problem by opening up the playlist in a text editor and cutting and pasting the entries in the order I desired.

Does anybody know how to do this through the GUI?
