LFE mix in VLC

Hello!
Thanks for a great player. I am using 0.8.0-test1 on OS X and I have not
had any problems with this test release.
I am using the Headphone channel mixer although I am using a 2.1 speaker
system. The reason for this is because I want the LFE-channel in 5.1-movies
to be included in the soundmix. This is the only channel mixer that does this
so far (I haven't tried the Equalizer in 0.8.0 though...). The headphone mixer
has only one weakness in my case: it does more than necessary. I don't
want the "spatialization effect", and even if I set characteristic dimension to
1 I still think the sound is much better without channel mixer filters, except
for the missing LFE.
Is it possible to get the LFE channel in the mix without spatialization effects?
The LFE makes the sound so much more dynamic and cinema-like when
watching 5.1-movies. WinDVD and PowerDVD both has this option.
One of the following would be excellent:
1) A checkbox that will enable LFE in the output "Include 0.1 LFE in mix".
2) A channel mixer that works exactly like the default, but includes LFE.
What do you guys think of this?
