Changing pitch and playing speed?

Is there any way to change the video pitch and playing speed (like PowerDVD)?? i want to use this feature for karaoke purpose.. i think this feature is useful enough, but i have no idea to set the VLC so can change speed and playing speed...

Wow.thank you for the information. Can i download this devel version? or i just wait it's release (bcause i'm not developer member)? so the devel version can change pitch and speed separetly, correct? like i want to up the speed but down the pitch... can it possible?

It is open, but so far, you change the speed, keep the sound, but the pitch change accordingly.

Take a nightly build to test.

theoriticaly like that..maybe we just can change both speed and pitch. do you know something about VLC implementation on karaoke place? usualy they use pitch up and pitch down to adjust the song to the singer... can the stable version do this feature yet (change both pitch and speed)?

Euh, just right click on the speed label and drag the slider.
