1. Can I rip music ? I know, I know, sound terrible but only for personal use. Can VLC do this and how to set up if yes.
2. Can I play my personal music from my HD with VLC player and also convert music files like from mp3 to wave etc.
3. Can I convert video files. I use Windows Movie Maker and so can I convert WMV to MPEG1,2 or 3.

Thanks very much jb  telling me to use the "Streaming Wizard" but can you give me instructions on how to implemet this wizard! I figured out how to take pictures but to fill out the "SW" and then is there a key stroke to click for the audio for the beginning and the end theme music? Also, is there a pdf manual on the to do's of this player? This player is really great  and takes up less resources on the computer then "Windows M. P."
