vlc used on new Beijing subway line 5

I was messing around with an 'Information' terminal ('Automatic Analyzer') on one of the platforms of the recently opened line 5 of the Beijing subway, and up came a video.
...but just before it appeared the VLC logo. I took a video (or 3) of it with my Nokia 3250. It's a bit crappy, but you get the idea
I wonder what the OS was.
