Subs - how to keep them selected?

Hi
I am playing anime with english subs on track 1. When I am watching a series, at the start of every new episode, it defaults to no sub. The subs have to be manually selected each time. Is there a way to change this setting in the 'input / codecs' interface settings?

Preferences, Input / Codecs, "Subtitles track" where 0 is the first track, 1 is the second track and so on. Be sure to press save and restart the player for the changes to take effect.
