So yea, my problem which I've been trying to trouble shoot forever is that when I'm playing a movie, it freezes maybe once every 3-4 minutes, which is getting annoying.

When I go to the settings and change the post processing to level 5 it seems to help a LITTLE, but continues on later...

Anyone run into a problem like this before?

I am viewing DVDRs if that helps as well.

try deleting fully the preferences

were you able to fix this problem? I am also facing this freezing problem. plz help.

Have you tried what funman suggested above? Have you updated you video card drivers?

I did not understand funman's post "try deleting fully the preferences". What exactly he is trying to say?

I installed all the driver which was available in the CD from vendor. I will try to update the driver and let you know.

You can fully delete the Preferences by going to C:\Documents and setting\User (your name)\Application Data ("Show hidden files and folders")\vlc. Delete the entire vlc folder there and then try starting the program.

Thanks for your suggestion but it is still not working. i deleted the vlc folder from 'application data' directory but still same problem.
Also I downloaded the latest available video driver on Intel website is same as what is there in CD from vendor. I still downloaded it and installed.
i first removed the driver as follows:
Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family and reinstalled the latest driver available for this chipset. Version of driver is 6.14.0010.4864. But it did not help.
If you have more idea then plz suggest.
