vlc wont play vcd

does anyone know why vlc cant play vcd movie from my cd-rom?

Please post, drive details, system details, Operating System and version, any other hardware which be important (sound video and Motherboard are good starts).

And most importantly what version of VLC you are running.

I would love to help, i've had some issues with dvd playback under certain setups before. But I CAN"T HELP UNLESS YOU HELP YOURSELF FIRST!. =p

sorry, i'm using powerbook with mac os x ver. 10.2.8, with a mem of 256mb, processor is 667MHz. and i have a VLC 0.6.0

did you use the open disc command in the file menu?

Salut!

I have Vlc 0.6.2 at Linux RH9, P3-1GHz. The program is not working with the *.mpg (under Svcd in Win..I think) video format. I think it's the same problem as by "miykmiyk". Can somebody give me an answer (?) Hope, that I have all the necessary *.rpm-s.

Thanx
