Mac Powerbook: How to do full screen out to S-video tv port?

Hi, I searched the forums all over but could not find an answer to this question. On a Mac Powerbook os 10.3.5 I want to output full screen video to my tv via the s-video port. The only way I have found to do it is to do video mirroring, but this is not ideal. How do I get full screen video out through s video with monitor spanning?

Thanks

Do as normal, and use the Menu->Video->video device option to select which screen VLC should use for fullscreen.

I have a G5 running 10.3.5 with a new 20" display as my primary and a 42" ViewSonic plasma TV as my secondary. I try to go to Video device to set fullscreen to the Plasma but it's greyed out and I cannot select anything. Any suggestions?

Same problem here; powerbook G4, trying to use the S-video out. It's detected by the system, but VLC's "video device" menu is greyed out.

Edit: problem solved! Get into VLC, select "Mac OSX interface" as Video output module. Video Device menu is not grayed out. Switch to fullscreen. Enjoy!

(Note that the preferences window will now pop up on your secondary screen)

This should also be fixed in newer 0.8.0 development releases.
