hi,
I realy need help with this one.

I use VLC to record one stream and everything is going well.
but when i'm trying to record two streams (different ports), the first "recorder" stops and the second starts instead.

I work with windows 2000 and vlc 0.7

why does it happens?
any clue???

Are you running two separate instances of vlc.exe, or trying to do this with one copy running? If I wanted, say, to record two separate video streams simultaneously, I would launch two VLCs, one targetted to each stream.

hi

If that wasn't clear, I open two instaces of vlc.exe one for every stream.

BTW i tried it with 0.7.2 and 0.7.0 and i'v got the same results.

it is very important, please help me.

hi,
I use VLC to record one stream and everything is going well.
Sorry for being slightly OT.
Could you write how to record just ONE stream? I've failed many times trying to record a UDP stream. I use the "save output" section of the open menu, but when I stop the stream I can't find any saved file, and sometimes I have this error message:

main: refcount is 1, I have a bad feeling about this
main: we waited too long, cancelling destruction

Thanks in advance,
popuz

Popuz --
What I would do is launch the Open -- Network Stream, then down at the bottom of the window select "Stream output" and press the Settings button. That opens a Stream window where you can select to do a stream to File.
