Version 0.7.2 of VLC for BeOS does not play any matroska files I have tested. All files play just fine with older 0.7.1 version.

Use Search function of the forum to search for "matroska Real" and you will see why.

I did that and if I understood correctly you suggest that files use real format which is not supported. Then why 0.7.1 plays all of those files perfectly and newer ones do not? Did someone remove codecs from VLC?

No, you were probably using different mkv files at that time. MKV files that contained XviD for instance.

Actually, mkv support is totally broken on BeOS at the moment. I couldn't get the latest libebml/libmatroska to compile with BeOS' old g++, and we can't use the older libs as the API changed (well, we could by patching VLC for the BeOS specific case, but it's a pain, and recent files wouldn't work anyway).
