Looking for hardware/solucion

Postby pluto70 » 10 Apr 2007 09:28

Hi all,

i need to stream 4 AV-Stream over LAN (p2p). My dream is to use a single system on each side to do this. I preffer linux of course, but it can be windows also.

My idea is to get hardware MPEG encoder/decoder cards and use VLC to manage the streams.

Has someone done something like this before and can recommend me some hardware/plattforms to use?

Can I send VLC-Output direct to a hardware MPEG-Dekoder?

Sorry for bad english.

if u just want to stream within your LAN, that's easy ..

vlc can be used as stream server (both on Windows and Linux)

vlc can also be used as player on client's machine (both windows and Linux)
