Hi,

I have an AVI File (Codec = Microsoft Video 1). Can I play this File and stream it with vlc. If not what shall I do?

Yes, VLC supports WMV1.

Go to the main VLC page -- there's a link to the Features List, which shows the CODECs and file formats supported.

does vlc support microsoft video 1 codec?
