iPod Conversion Guide Review Request

Hello fellow users of VLC.

I know that it is not the goal of the VLC developers to highlight the ability for VLC to convert videos for the iPod; however, I believe that VLC is by far, the quickest and most versatile program that can be used to convert any video. Despite being my favorite, it is not easy to get started.

I also know that the wiki entry is not sufficient for at least a couple of people, because I keep seeing new posts in the forum about iPod conversion. (... and I've added to that wiki entry as well ...)

So ... I spent today writing a guide that compiles most of the data that I've discovered since I first tried transcoding to file.

The guide is at http://www.kludgeroo.com/linked/videola ... _8.6a.html

I would appreciate it if anybody would take the time to look at it and comment on it.

As I say in the guide, thanks for developing this program. It is the only media program that I consider a staple program on all of my machines.

Man, you are great!

Could you add all those informations to your wiki?
There is already an IPod page but your HOWTO is far better!

Just a remark, VLC does not mean anymore VideoLan Client. Use VLC media player, please.

Thanks for the input j-b. I'll change VideoLan Client to VLC Media Player. (Sorry, habits die hard.)

About the wiki: should I just obliterate and overwrite what is already under /IPOD?
