Receiving multiple UDP stream on a server VLC

Postby rom1 » 12 Feb 2007 10:27

Hi all,

I have a few decoders here sending streaming video and I would like to store all streams on a single server.
I know VLC is able to store in a file thanks to the output option.

Can I receive multiple stream through a switch and store them on a server ?
Do I have to run mltiple instances of VLC in each specifing a new multicast group ?

Thanks for any idea/advice

Files are uploaded (not streamed) to a server and then prepared for streaming by the server in a common format that the server is also prepared for. Non of this is automatic.
