Advance by one frame

Postby Krs » 11 Dec 2006 15:20

How to advance step by step?

Usually with other player when I hit pause, I can advance by 1 frame using the arrows keys. How to do that with VLC? I see nothing like that in the hotkeys.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

Considering VLC is a packet based player designed for streaming media files it is very doubtful this request will ever be realized.

hmm, the "slow down" and "Go to" commands exist, so I hardly understand why it would be so complicated to implement.

Those commands are not frame accurate either.

Ok, so If VLC is designed to play streams, do you know a related project wich is local files focused? I think a lot of VLC users (probably a majority in OSX users) uses VLC as a standard media player after all.
