cannot view avi files

Hi,

I have managed to setup my comp via dbox to watch movies on tv.

I can hear and see picture when I play any .vob files.

When I play any .avi files I recieve sound but no picture. Can you someone guide me in the right direction how I can view picture please.

The dbox may not accept the format you are trying to send it. You will need to check to see what formats it accepts.

What codec do your AVI files use? AVI can contain any number of different codecs, VLC may not support it (I've yet to come across this problem, but its certainly possible!).
