Using Fullscreen with VLC-0.7.2

Using Fullscreen with VLC-0.7.2 ...
There are three ways that I transition from normal screen to fullscreen during playback ...
- Click on Video/Fullscreen
- Right click on the playback image, then select Fullscreen
- Doubleclick on the playback image
Now using VLC-0.7.2 the Doubleclick method (which I like the most) has the odd habit of changing to fullscreen but the application window is still in the foreground blocking part of the image.
A simple click on any part of the playback image will then send the application window to the background and everything is fine.
Is it a bug?
Is it a feature?
Is it Windoze® XP?
