Is .flv support official?

I've been stuck at 0.8.4 because later versions didn't support .flv.

Happily, 0.8.6-test2 supports it. At least none of them have crashed yet.

Is this official? The release notes mention something vague about better support for Flash but that's about it.

yes it is official, but still no support for seeking, and there was problems reported when transcoding flv files
