streaming question

is there any way i can stream from one pc to another and be able to pause, ffw, skip etc from the destination pc? im using a wireless network ( 1 end of the house to another) and sending digital tv programs i have recorded. thanks for any help

Hi…….do u know the normal feature that VLC has for the streaming mechanism? If u know that then it should work nicely with u. Try that again and if that doesn’t work then let me know. Here I am playing around with the streaming video too but the point is I am in the same subnet. It may has a point there….but lets see…..try as I said and then let me know if u want……Best regards

the way i have done it is to use the streaming wizard on the source computer, then go to the destination pc and open up streaming if that makes sense. I can control the file from the SOURCE pc no problems,but not from the destination pc . I dont have VLC here at work so i cant give you exact details of my setup. is that roughly what i am supposd to be doing? hope you can help
