I am with a church and we are trying to set up an overflow room for funerals etc. We currently have a computer with an Athlon 64 4000+ processor, 1 GB RAM, video card with 256 mb memory. The audio from the soundboard goes directly into the line in of the computer.

What else do I need to be able to stream the audio and video to a laptop we have set up in the overflow room that is connected via wifi on a different router but same network?

How do I set up VLC to stream it using the line in and whatever you suggest for video?

Check that

Hi…….there is a nice documentation about streaming video through VLC player. Read that from the given link: http://www.videolan.org/doc/ As u did mention about the configuration of ur PC, I guess that is more than enough to play with streaming. By the way Good Luck…..:-)

What do you suggest that I get for the video. A webcam or video camera maybe? Is there any particular kind I need to look for?
