Hi,

I browse this forum and the internet and can't get any -positive- answer.

Is it possible to grab the mouse pointer when 'transcoding' screen:// to a file ? (under Linux or windows)

Thank you.

I didn't know about screen://, but in windows I have tried using
VHScreen Capture Driver http://www.hmelyoff.com/
or
UScreenCapture Driver http://www.umediaserver.net

They emulate a directshow capture device, that grabs your screen and is usable by several recording applications including VLC.

They both are freeware, and on my system they capture the mouse and Direct3D and OpenGL, although overlays sometimes work and sometimes don't (overlays worked for me in virtualdub for some reason but not in anyVLC or windows media player :P). I think VHScreen Capture Driver is better only because it works with streaming over the network.

thanks for your reply but I'd like an open source solution.
