How to play FLV files?

Hi,
I am finding that, after extracting embedded FLV files, I am unable to play them with any media player.

Here is an example:

I have tried MPlayer 1.0pre7, VLC 0.8.4, and tried to transcode with transcode and ffmpeg, nothing seems to recognize them. Anyone have any hints?

You could also try with 0.8.5-test4 (some issues were fixed that prevented partial support for FLV)

I should mention that I am using Linux, so Flash 8 is unavailable.

So did you try test4 or not ?

No :( Too many build dependencies. If someone wants to help me figure out what libraries I need, feel free. I would dig deeper but I have exams this week. I can always wait until the next official release though if it is coming soon.

OK, I found the Debian nightly builds ;-)

Some FLV videos now play! But not the one made with Flash 8 that I posted above. Any ideas?
