Google ViDEO player Codec is missing in VLC

Postby Guest » 14 Apr 2006 13:14

I'm not sure, but Google ViDEO playe is freeware, don't know if it is open source or you can implement it in the VLC player so that you don't need to download google video player and therefore easily play it with VLC.

Streaming is possible with VLC but you can't stream from google.

Can you make it possible to rip the clips from http://video.google.com down to your harddisk instead of streaming it all the time, not good if you are offline.

I love VLC it is my favorite video player, nothing beats it! Hope you can implement the google codec.

Any help is highly appreciated.

You can use http://keepvid.com/ to get the video from Google and then play it offline with VLC.
