Have Some Sound Problems =/

Postby DJohn » 31 Mar 2004 23:15

Hello there everyone!..

I'm a happy user of VLC but there are some problems I've bumped into..
one is that the sound that the characters in the movie is veery low
and the soundeffects are louder..
like if you want the movie to be a karaoke ;P..
but I don't want that.. and it's only like this on several movies..
not all of them.. Does anyone know this problem?..

As for VLC I see it like a plug-in for WMP because a friend of mine
(who didn't have WMP) couldn't use VLC..
BUT!.. when we installed WMP, VLC worked!!.. =)..
so if I have some problems with VLC I always try to update WMP
and the problems usually will be solved.. but not this time (as I wrote erlier)..
I don't want to have ACEproMegaCodecPack installed because 3 movies
doesn't want to give me the sound.. that's rather enoying.. =/..

soo.. anyone got an answer?.. =)

Loud sound effects and weak dialogue usually means that your center channel is missing or de-emphasized, or you're missing a physical speaker vs what your sound card thinks you have.

If none of the above are true, there should be a surround mixer function that you can boost center channel. (I haven't a clue as to what your rig consists of...) Hope this helps a bit.

No that didn't help.. the thing is that I've testet to plug into the TV.. I've tried my headphones.. I've tried my surround system for the computer.. almost everything... the funny thing is that it works with WMP+ACE Pro MegaCodecPack.. but I'll survive.. just wanted to know if you knew the problem or not.. =)..

take care, be aware..
