Unfortunately, I can't provide specific help since I don't know ur specifics. But here goes...

What kind of video are you trying to play?

Under the video menu, is Disable selected under Video Track?

Try these and hope to hear from you soon.

Post again with some more details, ok?

I also see this problem - or at least the same symptoms.

I am using 0.7.1 on Windows 2000 (with the latest windows updates). I am trying to play a VCD. The same VCD plays fine on an LG VCD player.

It plays black on VLC. If I change the video output module to 'Window GDI video output' then it plays some video, but with wierd colours.

Any clues?

Max.

First of all, THANK YOU guys at VideoLAN for making this available to us! I really appreciate all your efforts.

I too am having the same problem. I'm trying to play a DVD and, it will start out playing the video, but then if I try to view it in full screen it blacks out and I can't get it back, even if I decrease the screen size back to the way it was originally. Also, if I try to skip to a different track, it blacks out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

two solution from my experience. either switch off overlays and RGB->YUB conversion(software rendering), or use version older than 0.7.0(ie 0.6.2)
