VLC will not run

I have a G3Mac (Beige Tower) with a G4 CPU (500mhz). I was using version 0.6.1 and it was working fine. When I saw you had an updated version 0.6.2 Idownload it and installed it (copied it to the Apps file) Now it will not start up. I purged all the old VLC pref's and reinstalled 0.6.2 and then 0.6.1, with the same negative results. Any ideas? Respectfully; Bill S. (macdoctor@verizon.net)

Do you use MacOS 10.1 ?
0.6.1 and 0.6.2 don't run on 10.1 use either 0.6.0 or 0.7.0-test1
