Hi there honored gurus,
Recently I found this fantastic solution-VLC for multimedia broadcasting(of course many other functionalities) in Lan.I happen to take part in video broadcasting in a multimedia classroom project. And after so many drawbacks I turn back for VLC - as it meet most the needs - support for many formats, random seeking in file,videocapture... I cannot find another software so useful!
After downloading VLC code and compiling it,I consequently got a console-like program, really a bit confusing for me,all I want to do is to build a GUI program that bares the functions of VLC and embed it in a larger project. In one word, can I build my own GUI just like the one I installed using the VLC src codes?
Warm regards, and best wishes for all of you!

Seems it's not easy with MSVC,I saw a topic in the FAQ,the editor recommended that we use CygWin to compile and use wxWindows to make the graphic interface,by the way,we're from the same nation.haha

haha, I just realized we are in the same country, Mr. wang.
If it is not easy to develop with vc, I think I will choose to just use it instead of embed it. I am a student, and this is just a project for school:)
