I can't see subtitules. No puedo ver subtitulos. Svcd + sub

Postby CLOSHARD » 03 Dec 2003 03:31

I try write in english now.
I can't see movies with subtitules in vlc version 0.6.2. I'm choose de subtitule file, but i'dont see.

The subtitule file is .srt or .sub format.

And the movie is svcd format.

Can i help me, about put de subtitules correctly.

Thanks for all.

See you later.

Diego

until 0.6.2 subtitle files can only shown over avi files.
From 0.7.0-test1 (http://www.videolan.org/pub/testing/vlc-0.7.0-test1 ) they can also be shown with other media.

I assume that this means that the subtitles are a separate file and vlc will try and sync it to the video stream.

I believe SVCD also allows for subtitles in the disc itself. Are there any plans for supporting the subtitlesin the SVCD itself?

BTW, I love VLC. :-)

An new SVCD plugin is in the works. Currently it only works with Linux. SVCD subtitle support for that plugin is being worked on currently.
