Picture not updating when changing position on timeline while paused

Hello,

When I pause a video and then change the position on the timeline the picture shown is not updated to what's at the new position but remains as it was when paused. Is this expected behaviour?

This suggests it should work https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issues/27192 although it's unclear what versions are discussed. I'm on 3.0.20.
