I want to know if there is any way the VLC can be changed so that it stops at the end of a track rather than carry on to the next track.

The play-and-pause option will pause at the end of each track

Thank you soooo soooo much for your response, I am really grateful.

I presume the "Play and Pause" option would be under either the Playback or Audio tabs. I dont seem to have the option there or anywhere else I look. I have just updated to the latest release 3.0.20 Vetinari. Is it somewhere else or do I need to get another version?

THanks again so much for your response

Menu Tools -> Preferences (Show settings = ALL) -> Playlist
Then on the right panel tick the Play and Pause option.
When done, save, exit and restart VLC for the new setting to work.

Thanks you so much for your amazingly prompt response. I am absolutely ecstatic about the solution. I use VLC in my volunteer role as a DJ on KCR FM (www.kcr-fm.org for live streaming). If ever you listen (8-10pm Fridays and 1-3pm Thursdays, West Australian times, I live in Perth) please email me and I will be delighted to thank you on air.

Many, many thanks
