Hi,
I have an MP4 file that plays locally but can't be copied anywhere. I keep getting the error message 'can't read from source file or disk.' I've tried all the methods suggested online without success. Eventually, I found out that VLC might be able to help.
After some testing, I found that using the 'Convert / Save' feature indeed works. However, the quality is reduced by half, with the total bitrate and data rate dropping from 32000 to 12000.
Later, I noticed there's also a 'Dump Raw' option. After researching, I found out that this feature can directly repackage without any additional decoding. This sounds like what I need. However, when I export the video, it's similar in size to the source file but becomes unplayable. This is frustrating. Is 'Dump Raw' only suitable for DVDs? Is there a possibility to repackage without compression in my case?
Thank you.
