Connecting VLC to Devialet Phantom speakers via UPNP

Does anyone have experience connecting VLC to Devialet Phantom Gold speakers, using UPnP? I don’t want to use Bluetooth. I can’t however get the UPnP connection set up… Any advice is welcome!
