Video playback changes speed, no audio after 1h17m

Postby JayCee87 » 13 Nov 2023 11:08

Hello group.

I have been ripping some dvd's to the a movie backup collection project. I downloaded an older version of VLC, I think 3.0.19 and ripped the first dvd. Converted it using Profile Video - H.264 + MP3 (MP4). The movie playback, using VLC, works great all the way through. Now any new ripped movie changes speed by itself. During playback about the 1:17:30 mark, the movie automatically speeds up and there is no audio. Even if I lower the playback speed, there is still no audio. I downloaded VLC version 3.0.20 and still does the same. Anyone come across this issue?

- Thank you in any advance.

There are other reports about conversion issues.

Try with a nightly build:

More info:

But ripping might be easier with Handbrake:

Or for the conversion you can try a dedicated video tool such as AviDemux:
