Enhancement for the interactive zoom: Use the full screen area!

Hi,
I would like to see the interactive zoom feature to use the whole screen area. No black bars!
Is there any reason for the VLC not using the whole screen?
Other tools do use it (e.g. MediaPlayerClassic which zooms and shifts the view very fast and convenient using some keys). But VLC keeps all black bars present which were there before and does not use the whole screen - which can get really annoying when the user wants to use the zoom to spot some details.

Before I found this zooming feature, I was using the keys to crop pixels from the borders. - This is a really slow and inconvenient way to zoom but at least it uses the whole screen!
