I want to reverse left and right audio channels while playing videos (mp4 or mkv files), but the option ‘reverse stereo’ does not appear under ‘stereo mode’. The only options I have are: mono, original, stereo & headphones.
The left, right & reverse options appear when I play regular audio files (wav, flac, etc.).
Is it not possible to reverse the channels in videos?

What is your OS ?
What is your VLC version ?
What is the audio output module used by VLC ?
What is the audio codec of these files ?

Reverse stereo is, by definition, only possible for stereo audio tracks. The option is not available for mono and surround tracks.
