the PVR or bin video is recorded on my Smart Tv on a usb - I checked it plays ok on tv - when I plug it into my laptop - I see 3 files - 07.pvr, 07.rfi and 07.bin with alot of data in it. what do I need to do to watch it on my pc ?? I tried opening the 07.bin file with VLC player - does not work , any suggestions please ?
is there a plugin for VLC that can do it ?

A .BIN extension means nothing, the file can contain anything.
Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.
Also upload a short sample of your original problematic file to Zippyshare.com or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.
