I have downloaded a TV show with the addon "Video DownloadHelper" (for Firefox) from pluto.tv website and when I open the video file, it also opens a window with advertising and top left says "Direct3D11 output", it is something similar to a pop-up window or picture-in-picture. Of course it can be minimized or left behind, but not closed. Is there a way to disable it completely?

VLC opens a second window because there is a second video track. So this is probably either a bug or a deliberate effect of your download helper.
