Start Record via Remote Control Commands

Hi,
I want to start a record via the Remote Control Commands (in Terminal Window or with Telnet)
but there is no "Record" command.
The help gives me the possibilty of
and my idea was to define a hotkey for record and then trigger that hotkey,
but this did not work for me.
Even a simple command like Stop doesn't work.
I try

is there any way to trigger a record
(not by command line, I know it works, but I need telnet..)
