Max Peek Level

Hello,
I use VLC with Telnet protocole and it works fine now.
I am in an AV club where members do pictures and videos. After that they realise AV shows, adding music and comments.
They output their AV shows in video mp4 or wmv.
We organize galas with a large public where we display the Av Show of the members
The problem I have is that the audio track level of the videos are not always well recorded. I am obliged to preview each AV show before the gala to find the max peek level.
I use a level peek meter to find that. It takes a huge time.
When I know the max peek level, I can correct lhe level using the volume command in telnet after sending the Play command.
My question is: Is there a command in telnet where I could ask VLC to find itself the max peek level ?
With that answer I could automatically calculate and adjust the volume parameter command.
For i.e, if VLC answers 240, I could send the command volume 255 + 15 (as 255 = 0dB)
Any idea ?
