How to maximize video playback quality in VLC?

Hello everyone. I couldn't find info about this online so i decided to open a thread here. I have been using VLC for a long time until i stumbled upon MPV. I found that MPV has some settings that can increase playback quality such as gpu-hq profile, debanding, frame interpolation, audio-video syncing techniques, etc at the cost of system usage. I was wondering if VLC has some similar configs like that. I have a powerful desktop PC, i dont care about power consumption or CPU/GPU usage, I just want to maximize the video quality. Of course video quality depends on source codec/bitrate too but i want to set that aside and focus on the client. What can you suggest me?
