Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) in Windows, not Linux?

Postby ramjr20 » 26 Jul 2021 03:49

Hi,

I have VLC 3.0.16 Vetinari installed on a Windows 10 system and an MX Linux system. The Windows app supports SRT but the Linux one does not.

Any ideas as to why and better, suggestions on how to get it working under Linux?

Thanks.

see with your distro or build it yourself
:!: If you want your problem to be solved :
* First read troubleshooting guide VSG:Main
* Always provide verbose LOGS ! (command line or from gui)
* Always check your issue against a developer build from Nightly Build of VLC
* Tell us when your problem is solved !

Because your the VLC package in MX Linux does not include SRT support.
By building the SRT library and VLC yourself.
