Hello,
I recently upgraded to VLC 3.0.16, and files which used to play just fine with VLC now are seen as "broken", require an index re-creation, and, even when I do recreate the index, the playback stops if I try to skip ahead, or rewind.
On older versions (I cannot remember the exact version number, sorry), it worked just fine.
Now, were it on a single video file, I'd assume the file got corrupt somehow. However, it does this with a whole lot of older video files, so I'm assuming it's a CODEC-related issue...
Is there a way to get back support for older video formats ?
One of the videos says its a MPEG-4 (DX50), for instance - if it has any importance.
Also, Windows Media Player plays it just fine. So, why won't VLC play it correctly anymore ?
