Ghost thumbnail over different mp4 during playback

Postby abodde » 14 Jun 2021 04:32

I have several mp4 files downloaded from Telegram and some appear to have been superimposed in the fashion pictured below. The ghosted image is a still frame from the previous mp4, which remains still, while the intended video plays at half speed. Any idea of what's happening and/or a fix? I tried Google et al but without knowing the issue, my searches have been unproductive.

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload a short sample of your original problematic file to Zippyshare.com or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

100 MB max should be enough.

I only have access to android currently. Is there a way to generate the log and an equivalent program for android?

I don't even see how that's possible
:!: If you want your problem to be solved :
* First read troubleshooting guide VSG:Main
* Always provide verbose LOGS ! (command line or from gui)
* Always check your issue against a developer build from Nightly Build of VLC
* Tell us when your problem is solved !
